HOPE
2/18/08
Dreams are reborn through hope.
Hope opens the sealed tomb,
where the decaying dream lies.
The dream enters it’s new life as a beggar
screeching at the sun, moon, and sky.
The new dream must await it’s first touch,
first kiss , first light, first word, first friend.
The dream begs for it’s beginning.
It cries, sobs, screams, and kicks,
until it is embraced and nurtured.
The dream is battered by life,
blown by the wind, and scorched by the sun.
The dream lives on hope and dies by hopelessness.
Only hope can give back life to a dream.
