Oscar Night in Eight Feet of Snow

shoveling out   It is Oscar Night tonight !  Wowee Qazowie!  It snowed another 5 inches last night and I just finished shoveling out from the last storm a few days ago.  We in Connecticut aren’t as bad off as the poor people of Boston, Mass , but we can definitely sympathize with their back pain from shoveling snow, and their overall frustration at the non stop snow storms.

I have to laugh when I think of how happy several of the  actors and actresses   must be, who live in this snowbound area of the country, but will be walking on the red carpet and be wined and dined while enjoying warm, snow free, California weather. However, I don’t envy them their return home to another snow storm expected this week and below zero temperatures. I especially don’t envy any of them if they don’t win an Oscar and have to come back to face eight feet of snow on their lawns, driveways, and roofs and face the possibility of frost bite once they get off their plane.

I seldom watch the Oscars or any award show. They are usually on later than I care to stay up on a Sunday night. For me and many other people 5:00 AM Monday morning comes very fast if you go to bed too late. I wish all the actors and actresses my best. I haven’t seen any of the movies being nominated this year, and I don’t know any of the new actresses’ or actors’ names, but I am looking forward to the Yahoo News Oscar Fashion photos, that will come out on Monday. It is always good for a few laughs, and more fun to see than the actual Oscar awards show.
