GREED AND THE POWER BALL PIG

POWER BALL PIG GREEDIn light of the $485 million dollar Powerball drawing tonight I felt inspired to write about greed. Greed is not “good”.  It is the most hideous of all demons to possess a human spirit. It has no boundaries and will doom the embodied host .  Greed goes beyond desire into the darkest regions of the mind and soul.  It renders the human host without conscience and without any pity, mercy or remorse. Greedy people resemble pigs at a trough that enter a feeding frenzy, squealing in piggish delight , pushing other pigs away, or biting them and fighting with them, even though there is plenty of food in the trough for every pig to eat their fill.

What kind of giant pigs are Billionaires and Millionaires, who know how many homeless , starving people are outside their offices and mansion doors who are suffering poverty  because of these billionaire and millionaires’ decisions to close production plants and destroy entire towns and cities by sending their entire businesses over seas for cheaper labor pools and beneficial tax loopholes?  What kind of ferocious boars and sows are in our congress and government that would allow the growing  homelessness and poverty of half of the people in the U.S. and still give billions of dollars in tax breaks and subsidies to billionaires? These greedy pigs are possessed by demons of greed.  One or the most pathetic and horrific characters in history was a fictionalized character everyone knows  as  Scrooge.   It is amazing how this fictional character so mirrors the greed driven millionaires and billionaires of today. Recent economic reports state that 400 billionaires own 52% of the wealth in the U.S.  90% of the members of Congress and Senate are millionaires and members of  the wealthiest 1% of the American people.

I have thought long and hard about having immense wealth. Most of my knowledge and comprehension has been based on my several moments of “Near Wealth” statuses I have obtain over my life.  Every time I gained any substantial wealth, either the government, creditors, wives or relatives managed to tax, steal,  fight me or hate me for it until they got most of it and I was left trying to rebuild after it was gone. I have gained a serious distrust of the human race when it comes to wealth. People will steal, kill, hate, fight, and die for money. I will not kill, unless my life is threatened, in a robbery or armed attack, but I will fight to save myself.  I believe most people would do the same if they are given a chance to fight. I have had jobs stolen from me, I have had opportunities stolen by others’ jealously, and I have had money stolen from me. Having a lot of money is being on a high. Wealth creates a doping affect on whoever has wealth , but it also transitions a person’s life from someone who needs, to someone who wants.  Wealthy individuals have everything they need, but not everything they want. Their wants are what drive them to bulldoze over anything and anyone to get what they want.  A person who is starving will do what he must to get food to stay alive, but a person who has all the money he or she could ever use is possessed by the want , that becomes insatiable greed to own everything or the best of everything, until they become a complete joke and arch villain in society. They become the characters who are laughed at and hated in comic books and movies. Arch villains obsessed by greed and arrogance and hatred for people and authority. They must become the law, the authority, the rulers of the world.

I hate these kinds of people. I believe that most people in the world hate them as well. They are the war mongers and arms dealers, pharmaceutical company CEOs,  the serial killers and child killers, the eugenicists, the corporate killers and bankers, and world leaders, who create wars and chaos throughout the world. They are the greatest criminals of all time. They are the most evil of all evil and the most demonic of all. They are possessed by the demons of greed.

Recently I saw an interview with a man who won 18 million in a lottery. He said it was the worst thing that ever happened to him. After his wife died he established a charity in her name, however his own family members became a curse to him. Even after his generous gifts to them they still wanted more and more until he shut them all out of his life, because of their relentless begging and jealously.  This is a real problem that comes with sudden wealth.  I had a friend once who’s sister won a lottery of 3 million dollars. Her life obviously changed, her husband came back to her once she had money, and according to her brother she became an arrogant and obnoxious bitch to her brother and the rest of the family.  She had some of those tendencies prior to her winning the lottery but after she won, I guess she turned into a green eyed monster. Aside from this hazard I still play Powerball and I still consider if all the wealth would make my life happier or miserable.  I still took the $2.00 chance to try owning 485 million dollars. I wish everyone good luck tonight wether they win or not. At least it is inexpensive  fun to play the fantasy, and to some special someone ( maybe me) it could be a life changing event, that I hope I will be wise enough and strong enough and smart enough to make the most of the money in the best way I possibly can, without losing my soul in the process.
