In today’s world no one listens to subtleties anymore. A writer or activist or journalist or artist can not be subjective,cute or witty. Satire sometimes works and so does sarcasm, but some people aren’t smart enough to understand either. If they are smart enough to see the sarcasm they still ignore the meaning and sentiment and belittle or explain your remarks as if they haven’t a clue what he or she is talking about. Bluntness is a must when politeness just doesn’t work.
We have all had acquaintances, neighbors, relatives and even friends who drive us over the edge by refusing to listen to what we are saying. They become like nagging salesmen or telemarketers who won’t take no, or sorry I’m not interested, or you walking away from them as your answer. Spammers are the same kind of people. After posting “Fuck all Spammers” I still get clueless spammers attacking my site with some strange idea that I will approve their comments and advertise their product. They remind me of government officials who refuse to listen to their constituents or badgering prosecutors or interrogators who continue to ask you the same questions to try to break you. It is this same tactic used to wear you down. But saying Fuck You works
well as an undeniable rejection to most salesmen or prosecutors or other nagging bothersome people. If they have any intelligence at all they will get the point you are putting across to them, however if they are simply stupid,they will continue to badger you until you finally hit them, yell at them to stop, or in the most extreme cases shoot them.
I’m not advocating violence against people who will not take no for an answer, but I am advising my readers to understand my anger when I express it and to especially understand my anger and vexation at something when I express it bluntly. I think most people would agree with me on this issue, and most people have also had to be extremely blunt, when dealing with others who continue to annoy the hell out them.
