A GET WELL LETTER TO RUSH LIMBAUGH FROM A LIBERAL
1/04/10
Dear Rush,
I was sorry to hear about your recent illness. I was surprised at your sudden loss of physical stamina. I realized after I heard about your sudden illness I truly wished for your quick recovery. I realized that without you on the radio shouting out your bone breaking remarks against liberals I would sincerely miss you, and America would have lost an important voice. I have listened to you countless times to hear what you had to say. As a Liberal talk show host, I respect you as an adversary. I have often quoted one of my favorite” Rush” coined statements, “Linguine Spined Liberals.” That was a stroke of metaphorical genius.
I began my radio show on 3/04/03 on WQQQ 103.3fm in Connecticut, three weeks before the Iraq invasion on 3/20/03. I was one of the only liberal talk shows on commercial radio at the time. One year a head of Air America. I read a biography about you published in 1996. The book was complimentary. I was impressed by your rise in the radio medium and respect your remarkable command of an audience. As a Steel Spined Liberal broadcaster I want to thank you for being an inspiration to me and to your many competitors. I sincerely hope you get well soon.
My best regards,
L.A. Steel
