I believe all Americans would benefit greatly by having a stiff drink once and a while. I need one occasionally and prefer silver tequila over the gold it’s less sweet and smoother. Don’t be fooled by the $50 bucks a bottle stuff. Most of it tastes no better than a $10 dollar bottle. Just make sure it is real “Tequila “and not a substitute. I use to like bourbon, until I realized the benefits of tequila as the only drink that left me calm, cool and collected and without a hangover or dry mouth, and didn’t make me stagger after a few drinks. Summer seems to bring out the tequila drinker but I like it year round. Some of my friends stay clear of it because they say it “Makes them crazy.” It’s not the tequila that makes them crazy; they are already crazy it just exaggerates their craziness. I’ve had some great days while drinking tequila. It’s a real drink invented by the people of Mexico to get them through the sundrenched days of hard work and hopelessness with a magical touch of mescal.
When I consider the alternative sources of medication for anxiety or other nervous afflictions and all their big pharma side effects, I highly recommend a stiff shot of tequila on the rocks with a squirt of lime juice. So for all of you reading this I suggest when everything around you seems hopeless and the day is cloudy and raining, have a shot or two of tequila and I promise the world will look a lot better to you.
