Poor Hope Hicks stated she would resign her position as Communications Director for the Trump White House, after she was grilled intensely for 9 hours yesterday by the Intelligence Committee and Mueller’s team of investigators. She, as all the other people who held her job in the Trump White House , has finally had enough public scrutiny and investigations, pending legal problems, and Trump’s recent berating of her calling her “stupid” for saying she told “white lies” for Trump.
I suspected Trump and Hicks have a relationship greater than a professional one. Now Hicks realizes how used she had been by Trump and his family, and is getting out before she winds up in jail for their crimes, but she definitely knows where all the dirt is hidden in the Trump family and White House, and 2016 campaign.
Hope Hicks must be Mueller’s prime witness for the undoing of Donald Trump and his administration. She refused to answer any questions about issues after Trump’s election and time in the White House. I don’t believe that she or Trump invoking Executive Privilege would be enough to deter Mueller and his staff from gaining subpoenas or indictments on Hicks and Trump and his family. Her resignation was the right move , before she becomes more entrenched in the Russian Trump Conspiracy, as an active player in the cover-up.
It wasn’t reported however, I wouldn’t doubt if Hope was threatened with an indictment, to force her into a plea deal. Plea Deals worked well for Mike Flynn and Robert Gates. Gates got all charges dropped for his full cooperation in the investigation and Hope is fully aware of their legal problems, which I’m certain were the greatest reasons for her to leave the White House. She’s ready to let Trump hang on his own. He’s already brought her down to where she may not recover her reputation. She may return to modeling Ralph Lauren lingerie and bikinis. That might be a let down professionally for her , or she may prefer being a high paid model rather than Trump’s, constantly berated, confidant, and having nothing to do with Trump, the White House or politics ever again.
