Joe Arpaio is now “Above the Law” on the same level as Donald Trump. According to Trump few if any law enforcement officers have had as much experience in capturing and jailing “Bad Ombres” as Joe Arpaio has. Old Joe was notorious for making his prisoners dress in pink jump suits, and live in tents in the Arizona desert. He said he never wanted these prisoners to return to prison and felt his harsh treatment of them kept them from returning to Arizona prisons.
But it wasn’t so much his inhumane treatment of prisoners that got Old Joe in so much trouble as to need a Presidential Pardon, it was his refusal to abide by a court order to stop profiling Mexicans in his attempt to stop illegal immigration. He was also disliked by Barack Obama, because he helped Trump in 2012 by investigating Obama’s birth certificate and casting doubt on Obama’s American citizenship. Joe Arpaio and Trump created the “Birther Movement.”
Now thanks to Donald Trump Old Joe is free with a pardon. Americans can only imagine what role Old Joe will play in the Trump Administration. But we can be sure it will be in an unofficial advisory role , like so many other Trump cronies have become. Chris Christie, Rudy Guiliani, Newt Gingrich, Roger Stone, Alex Jones, Sean Hannity, Roger Ailes, etc. Unless Trump gets impeached , he and his crony cabinet and staff believe they are above the law. It is up to Congress and the Supreme Court to neuter Trump, before he destroys the U.S by his autocratic take over of government , with support of Neo Nazis and, White Supremacists, presidential corruption and treason.
