The betting on the right wing fight between Cruz and Rubio, is getting Vegas Odds as to who was meaner, and more of a blow hard in the last Republican debate in N.Hampshire. Jeb Bush got up off the floor a few times, before he crawled back to his mother, who was sitting behind the curtain with an ear plug encouraging her son to stay standing. Trumps handlers must of drugged him to stay quiet and not retaliate. He was mad as hell at Cruz for cheating in Iowa, and so was Ben Carson. It cost Trump the win and bumped Cruz up when Ben Carson’s supporters thought he was backing out of the race. All happened within hours of the Caucuses. I think Cruz is about to get bruised by Trump and everyone else in the New Hampshire Primary, when Cruz comes out last behind Christie and Bush.
Rubio is so canned, I cringe every time I see him. He’s the kind of guy you disliked in high school, the know it all, who ran for every student office, and was the High School Snitch, voted by administrators and faculty as Student of the Year, every year he was in high school. He now has arrived as a presidential candidate on par in age as JFK, but light years away from John Kennedy in compassion and vision. John Kennedy was a Liberal Visionary, who was assassinated in the second year of his incredible first term. Kennedy was the first to defy the Federal Reserve and try to end it. He was the first to desegregate the South. He was the first President to set this country’s vision on the Moon. He was the first President to deal with the Cold War with Russia and defended American honor and country against the Russians and Cubans, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He publicly condemned and warned the American People of the “Secret Government” that truly rules the world. I lived through all of that before Mr. Rubio was born, and so did everyone over 50 years of age.
We the over 50 , must be the ones to help these young people, who are our sons and daughters, to truly understand what it was like to live in the 1950s and 1960s. We are the mature generation, the parents and grand parents of a new generation. We own this country,or what is left of it to own, and we are responsible for the way everything has turned out. The 1960s especially under JFK, there was such a hope and respect given to the young people of the U.S , because for the first time millions of men and women came back from a world war, and received the greatest veterans package ever given to returning soldiers. A free university education, low interest loans on houses and complete life time Medical Care from the Veteran’s Administration. advanced technology, and new industries and scientific and medical breakthroughs.
“Conservative” Kids like Rubio and Cruz have no idea what it was like in the U.S before they were born. These two young men both under 50 years old, are too young to be leaders of Conservative Republicans. Men and women like themselves, under the age of 50 have no understanding of the Sea Change, that occurred in American Politics, since the 1960s. Since 1980 and the Ronald Reagan Election, the Conservative, Corporate, politics of Fascism, has dominated the country for the last 36 years. How can anyone under the age of 50, understand the complete destruction of the 1960s Liberal , Anti War, Peace and Love Movement, and revolutionary political and social changes, in universities and government, in industry and technology, and the creation of the greatest American Middle Class?
Donald Trump and the other, over 50 years old, Republican candidates, who fully understand the significance and wisdom of their age, should simply ignore Rubio and Cruz as treat them as the light weights they are. Rubio and Cruz are the baby twins on America’s Funniest Videos, who smile and laugh and point their fingers at each other, while carrying on a conversation in a language all their own.
